At the outset we congratulate the leadership of FNTO for obtaining an interim direction from the Kerala Highcourt directing the BSNL management not to accept any nominations and include the nominees of unions which did not qualify for said nomination since they fail to get a minimum of 7% of votes in the just concluded membership verification for placement in National/ Circle / Local councils.
We are glad that our efforts which begun in 2004 against the formation of alliance and pooling of votes on one common symbol is atleast now accepted by a law Court. This judgment is land mark one and certainly cut the root of alliance of unions in future atleast. We hope the same logic will be extended and followed to the nominations in all bodies including work committees.
