BSNLWA meets CMD, BSNL :
A meeting of unions of BSNLWA has taken place with the CMD on 12th May at 13.30 hours.
The CMD told that our expenditures are to the tune of Rs. 2500 crores per month whereas income is 2000 crores only out of Rs. 2500 crores 60% is on account of salary of staff which cannot be curtailed. We can handle the crisis with joint efforts only. At present our agenda is to ensure that BSNL maintains its present position and don’t slide to 6th position. He appealed for cooperation and wanted to share the views with the representatives of unions.
We mentioned the following points for immediate action.
1. Disposal of unuseful and condemned materials dumped in stores at Circle and SSA levels within the stipulated period.
2. Utilization of vehicles be reduced to minimum.
3. 50% Security Guards be reduced.
4. Expenditures in holding of official meeting as well as with unions are reduced.
5. The offices running in rented building are shifted to BSNL’s building forthwith.
6. Limited Tender system be done away.
7. Congenial atmosphere so that workers may work without fear.
8. Discipline be enforced.
9. Accountability be fixed from top to bottom.
CMD, BSNL desired a detailed note on the issues. Comrades Islam, Chandeshwar Singh (General Secretary) NFTE (BSNL), S.P. Sharma (WRU), Patwa (AIBETES), Rajpal (Secretary, NFTE (BSNL) ), Naresh NFTE (BSNL), Gulzar Rai (WRU) etc attended the meeting.

May is Customer Care Month :- BSNLW Alliance has decided to celebrate the month of May as customer care month. The Circle, District and Branch Unions are requested to hold meetings and educate the workers to take care of the customers. All out efforts be made to bring new customers and sustained efforts be launched for restoration of landline phones.

11-05-2011 : Grant of one extra BCR increment :- NFTE is vigorously pursuing the above for restoration. Due to persistent efforts by NFTE recoveries upto 23-3-2010 will not be made. Restoration is also under active consideration.BSNLWA led by NFTE (BSNL) will meet CMD on 12th May 2011.

புதுவையில் 27-04-2011 புதன்கிழமை ( பந்த்) முழு அடைப்பு

 அசன்அலிக்கு பாஸ்போர்ட் வழங்க புதுவை கவர்னர் இக்பால்சிங் பரிந்துரை செய்தது பெரும் சர்ச்சையை ஏற்படுத்தி உள்ளது. இந்த விவகாரத்தில் கவர்னர் இக்பால்சிங் பதவி விலக வேண்டும் என எதிர்க்கட்சிகள் குரல் கொடுத்து வந்தன. 

இந்த நிலையில் கவர்னர் இக்பால்சிங் மீது 2 புதிய புகார்கள் எழுந்தது. தனது மகன்களை உறுப்பினர்களாக கொண்ட சவுத் எஜூகேஷனல் டிரஸ்ட் என்ற அமைப்புக்கு அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல் இல்லாமல் மருத்துவ கல்லூரி அமைக்க அனுமதி வழங்கினார் என்றும், புதுவையில் சொற்ப எண்ணிக்கையில் வசிக்கும் சீக்கிய சமுதாயத்துக்கு குருத்வாரா கட்ட நிலம் ஒதுக்கியதாகவும் புகார் கூறப்பட்டது. 

இதனையடுத்து எதிர்க்கட்சிகளின் குரல் ஓங்கி ஒலித்தது. கவர்னர் பதவி விலக கோரி பாரதிய ஜனதா, மார்க்சிஸ்டு கம்யூனிஸ்டு கட்சிகள் ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடத்தின. அ.தி.மு.க. கூட்டணி சார்பில் நாளை (புதன்கிழமை) முழு அடைப்பு (பந்த்) போராட்டம் நடத்த அழைப்பு விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

போபாலில் நடைபெற்ற அகிலஇந்திய செயற்குழுவில் புதுச்சேரி தோழர்களை பொதுச்செயலர் தோழர், C சிங் அவர்களிடம் அறிமுகம் செய்துவைத்து ,தங்குவதற்க்கு சிறப்பான ஏற்ப்பாடும் செய்து கொடுத்தார் துனணபொதுச்செயலா் தோழர் ,C K மதிவாணன் அவர்கள். 
   BSNLEU சங்கத்தின் பொதுச்செயலர் அபிமன்யு வாழும் புதுவை  மாவட்டத்தில் , NFTE(BSNL) சங்கத்தின் வெற்றியைய் சிறப்புடன் எடுத்து கூறி உரை நிகழ்த்தினார் மாநில செயலர் தோழர் R.பட்டாபி அவர்கள்.
    புதுச்சேரியின் வெற்றிக்கு செயற்குழுவில் அனைவரும் கரவொலி மூலம் பாராட்டினர். மாவட்ட செயலர் இரா. தங்கமணியை மேடையில் அமரவைத்து பாராட்டும் தெரிவித்தார் பொதுச்செயலர் தோழர், C சிங் அவர்கள்.

   மாநில செயலர்களை பாராட்ட   அழைத்தபோது எங்கள்  தோழர்கள் அனைவரும் பாராட்டுக்குஉரியவர்கள் என கூறினார், தோழர்கள் சுப்பராயன், கோவை . மாரி, காரைக்குடி. தங்கமணி, புதுவை. மாநில செயலர்  பட்டாபி ஆகிய அனைவரையும் கெளரவித்தனர். பெருமைக்குரியவர்களாக்கிய தலைவர்களுக்கும், தோழர்களுக்கும், போபால் வரவேற்புகுழு தோழர்களுக்கும் நமது நன்றி !நன்றி !!நன்றி !!!

Purposeful meeting of the National Executive at Bhopal: On 15 & 16/04/2011

   was held with pomp and show. The newly elected circle secretary of Madhya Pradesh, Com. Habeeb Khan has arranged this meeting in a grand manner. The reception committee under the leadership of senior leaders Comrades Aisiwal and Thothre had to be congratulated for the way the meeting of the National executive was arranged. Almost all the circle secretaries and central office bearers have participated in this meeting.
         This meeting reviewed the results of the 5th Membership verification and thanked the employees for supporting NFTE-BSNL despite the money power and muscle power of BSNLEU. It noted that the recognized union has lost nearly 25000 votes and could secure only 46% vote due to its non-performance.
       The meeting of the National executive also discussed and passed several resolutions on all major issues affecting the employees including VRS/CRS, retrograde recommendations of the BRPSE, outsourcing, disinvestment and privatization. It decided to conduct relentless campaign against these policies among our employees. On the question of participation in the JAC programe, the National executive unanimously decided not to have any truck with JAC since BSNLEU is bent upon disrupting and destroying NFTE-BSNL. However the National executive has decided to go on strike action on common demands to safe guard the interest of the employees and the company. 
    A seminar on the financial viability of BSNL was organized on the 2nd day. The CGM Madhya Pradesh circle, All India president of SNATTA and our CHQ leaders spoke about the methods for improving the financial viability of BSNL. The National executive decided the following.
1. Disruptors R.K.Kholi and Utpal Dastigar were expelled from the National executive committee for                                betraying the union. These vacancies will be filled up at the next National executive meeting.
2. Com N.T.Sajwani who attended the meeting at Bhopal was asked to handover immediately every thing given to him when he was Secy. General. 
3. Due to financial difficulties instead of two monthly journals hereafter only one journal will be published by the union. The editorial board of the journal will consist of Com. Chandeswar Singh, C.K.Mathivanan and Islam Ahamad.
4. The next meeting of the National executive will be held at Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) in the 3rd week of Sep-2011.On the whole the National executive committee meeting held for two days in Bhopal was both successful and purposeful. The question of getting recognition for NFTE-BSNL is being pursued by the CHQ vigoursly through all means and we expect some positive decision on this issue very shortly

ON BRPSE (Board of Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises) RECOMMENDATIONS


The CWC held at Bhopal on 15th and 16th April 2011 has totally rejected the proposal of BRPSE recommendations in connection with Roll Back of Retirement age to 58 years, VRS and merger of MTNL and ITI with BSNL. The CWC strongly feels that these recommendations are not only detrimental for the employees but also for the growth of BSNL.
The proposal of Roll Back and VRS to BSNL employee and the addition of staff through merger of MTNL and ITI are self contradictory and highly incompatible. Moreover VRS is against the assurances of Cabinet decision given during the time of Corporatisation and framing of Rule 37-A.
VRS, even if DOT gives approval may lead BSNL to debt trap which will add further deterioration to the already cash starved company.
It is open to everyone that MTNL has its own risk factors and beyond any connective measures. MTNL loss amounts to 3000 crores annually. There is no uniform service condition between MTNL and BSNL. MTNL is not having “37-A”. MTNL is already a listed company and more than 46% shares have been disinvested. So merger of MTNL with BSNL or any type of holding company would not help to synergige the operations as well as solve the growth of BSNL / MTNL.
The position of ITI is more worse than MTNL. Even for salary ITI is expecting budgetary help. There is no ‘state of art’ technology in ITI and it is not in a position to compete with Multinational production companies. A separate and specific road map for ITI alone would safeguards the interests of ITI and the merger would help neither BSNL nor ITI to grow. 
The C.W.C directs CHQ leadership to spare no efforts in fighting the BRPSE recommendations if announced arbitrarily by the management. The C.W.C. directs the CHQ to chalk out Trade Union Action in the appropriate time consulting all BWA and other Trade Unions in BSNL.
