The National Executive commitee unanimously passed seven resolutions. Com. N.T. Sajwani was removed from the post of secretary (CHQ) for anti union and disruptive activities. The National executive committee decided to support the 8th November -2011agitation organized by all major central trade unions to protest against the disinvestment of PSU’s and price rise etc. On 08/11/2011 NFTE-BSNL will organize nation wide demonstration during lunch hour. The National executive committee decided to demand merger of 50% IDA with pay and with effect from 01/10/2011 since the IDA increased to 52% with effect from 01/10/2011.
The Seminar resolved to demand orders from Govt of India to direct all the Govt departments and CPU’s to utilize the telecom services only from BSNL/ MTNL as the case may be so that the revenues of BSNL/ MTNL will increase considerably. The seminar also appealed to the Govt of India to help BSNL financially as in the case of Air India. On the whole the Coimbatore meeting gave lot of inspiration and energy to our members.
