ELECTION CAMPAIGN BEGINS !!!

EXTENDED DISTRICT EXECUTIVE  meeting was held (8-12-2010) today. This marked as the beginning meeting for the forthcoming elections campaign. Leaders and Comrades from all over of puducherry took part in the meeting. DISTRICT/BRANCH LEVEL ELECTION CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE had been formed.

IDA INCREASE !!! 1-1-2011 !!!

IDA  INCREASED BY 2.9%. IT WILL COME INTO EFFECT FROM 1-1-2011... 39.8+2.9=42.7%.

STRIKE DEFERRED!!!

JAC Leaders and the MANAGEMENT came to the agreement today. So the STRIKE have been DEFERRED on their assurance. PY DISTRICT UNION thanks all the JAC LEADERS and COMRADES who participated in these two days strike.

JAC CALL DECEMBER 1,2,3. 2010 STRIKE

 As per JAC call, three days strike is going to be held from 1st december to 3rd december. The demands for the strike are given below.
1. Refund of Rs.18500 crores to BSNL paid to government towards 3G and BMA spectrum charges.
2.78.2% IDA Merger for wage revision w.e.f 1-1-2007.
3. Immediate settlement of ITS Group A absorption issue.
4.No Disinvestment / IPO of BSNL.
5. No VRS.
6. Procurement of adequate mobile equipements.
7. No unbundling of last mile copper cable.
8. Implement the Government's commitments on financial viability of BSNL at the time of corporatisation by continuing exemption from License fee and continuation of ADC, USO Fund etc.
9.effactive and expeditious implementation of programmes and projects lik ERP, NGN etc. Immediate fool proof measures for smooth change over to COR.
10. Government Departments and PSUs should be mandated to take telecom services from BSNL/MTNL only.
11. Revision of Pension on IDA along with wage revision. Immediate revision of IDA pension of pre-2007 BSNL retirees.
All the employees are asked to participate and make the strike as a grand success.

CIRCLE EXECUTIVE MEETING ERODE 24-11-2010

TAMILNADU CIRCLE EXECUTIVE meeting, headed by S.THAMIZHMANI is going to be held on 24-11-2010 at ERODE in Hotel Regency, Mettur Road. The issues which are going to be discussed in the meeting are Fifth Members Verification Election, Jalandhar CWC Results, NFTE(BSNL)TN Circle Union Building Fund and Building Opening, New Promotion Policy, Leaders Retirement Ceremony and other Employee Problems.

BSNLEU DRAMA IN VEIN !!!

R.K. Kohli continues in NFTE(BSNL), after leaving behind the newly formed NFTBE union. So the DRAMA played by the bsnleu union did not solve the purpose.

PY SSA REGRET !!!

Thanjavur DISTRICT SECTRETARY KESAVAN passed away today 15-11-2010 evening at 6 pm. NFTE(BSNL) PUDHUCHERRY SSA regrets very much for his death.

DISTRICT SECRETARIES BE ALERT !

The DISTRICT level voters list will be published by the management on 15-11-2010. The district secretaries should be alert to check for any dispute or correction boothwise. And the last date for the submission of the corrections is on 22-11-2010. 

BSNLEU DRAMA!!!

R.K kohli at the age of 80 years old, formed a new union, NFTBE.  At this old age, he cannot perform any duties for his union and cannot do any good work for his followers also. There is no problem and no loss to NFTE(BSNL) becacuse of this new union. This is the drama played by the BSNLEU for the 5TH VERIFICATION ELECTION.

NEXT HEARING!

The case filed by NFTE(BSNL) came up for hearing on 12-11-2010. But the next hearing was fixed on 18-11-2010 as the management wanted time to reply.

TMTCLU(BSNL) - 4TH DISTRICT CONFERENCE CUDDALORE

4TH District Conference of TMTCLU(BSNL) is going to be held on 9-11-2010 in CUDDALORE TOWN HALL at 10 AM. NFTE (BSNL) DISTRICT UNION PUDUCHERRY wishes that the conference will be a grand success.

NEXT HEARING ON 12-11-2010

The writ petition filled by NFTE(BSNL) for 5th Member Verification Election will have its next hearing on 12-11-2010. The NFTE(BSNL) has sought intervention of court on following reasons,

1. BSNL management should evolve its own rules for recognition of unions.

2. Recognise more unions instead of one.

3. Give proportionate representation to all unions in National Circle and Local councils.

4. Grant minimum TU facilities to all unions to grow and complete.

LTC /ENCASHMENT OF EL. ORDER NO-1-10/2010-PAT(BSNL) DT-27-10-2010

As per old orders, it is stated that for LTC, 10 days of EL pay can be taken in advance. And those 10 days EL pay will be reduced from the final 300 days pay of RETITREMENT EL BENEFIT. Now the new order states that 10 days of EL pay for LTC can be taken 6 times in the sevice i.e for 60 days. And those 60 days pay will not be reduced from the RETIREMENT EL BENEFIT. This order will be in effect from 28-9-2010.

JAC CALL-DHARNA 28-10-2010

As per JAC call, DHARNA will be held on 28-10-2010 at 9.30 am in front of the GM office puducherry. All are requested to attend and make it a grand success.

CIRCLE EXECUTIVE MEETING 24-11-2010

NFTE (BSNL) TAMILNADU CIRCLE EXECUTIVE meeting is going to held at ERODE  on 24-11-2010. The meeting is held to discuss and decide the about FIFTH VERIFICATION ELECTION, CWC Jalandar report and other matters.

On 31-10-2010, Telecom mechanic exam is going to be held as per scheduled in puducherry. Ambiga S, Karpagam R, Mallini are eligible to write the exam from puducherry ssa. THe DISTRICT UNION PUDUCHERRY  wishes them best of luck to succeed in the exam.

JEEVA WORKERS UNION STRIKE IN NLC

As 13000 NLC contract workers from JEEVA workers union and other unions are performing STRIKE for the past one month, for the demand of increse in pay,  NFTE (BSNL) DISTRICT UNION PUDUCHERRY wishes that their struggle will be a success.

JAC BONUS STRUGGLE SUCCESS

Today general secretaries one day fast, on demanding the bonus was a great success, as The Director Shri S.k. Agarwal met the JAC leaders and assured BONUS and said that the decision regarding the bonus will be taken in the coming board meeting. So the DHARNA which was scheduled to be held on 19th is postponed to 28-10-2010.

12-10-2010 DEMONSTRATION SUCCESS

As more than 100 Members participated ,the demonstration was a Grand Success.The District union conveys  Thanks to all  the Members.

JOINT ACTION COMMITTEE CALL

 All union general secretaries are going to fast on 15th october 2010 in New delhi, demanding for the payment of BONUS.
 Also SSA level DHARNA is going to be held on 19th october 2010.

DEMONSTRATION FOR BONUS

The CWC meeting at jalandar decided to conduct a DEMONSTRATION on 12-10-2010 to demand payment of BONUS before pooja. As per the supreme court orders, the NFTE demands the minimum one month pay(8.33%) as bonus to the employees.

IDA INCREASED ON 1-10 2010

IDA  INCREASED BY  4.7 % WITH  EFFECT  FROM 1-10-2010.   35.1 + 4.7 = 39.8%  

DEMONSTRATION IS POSTPONED

Due to allahabad high court judgement, in ayodhya case on 30-10-2010, the DEMONSTRATION is postponed to avoid any misunderstanding. The date will be announced after considering with all the nine unions.
